In Friday's non-league game, the Clear Springs Chargers (League City, TX) football team knocked off the host Huntsville Hornets (Huntsville, TX), by a score of 28-10.

The Chargers (2-2) will now prepare for their game against Dickinson (Dickinson, TX). The Gators come into the 6A Region III District 24 game with a 3-1 record. In their last game, Dickinson toppled Klein Oak (Spring, TX), 37-8, in a non-league game.

The Hornets now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Montgomery for a 5A-2 Region III District 10 game on Friday, September 22. Huntsville will battle a Bears team coming off a 62-0 non-league loss to Argyle (Argyle, TX). The Bears record now stands at 0-4.
