The Dakota Cougars (Macomb, MI) football defeated the host Sterling Heights Stevenson Titans (Sterling Heights, MI), 21-13 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Cougars face the Chippewa Valley Big Reds (Clinton Township, MI) in a Macomb Area - Red bout, on Friday, September 22. Dakota will attempt to advance on its 4-0 season record. The Big Reds enter the bout with a 2-2 record after their 44-43 league win over Anchor Bay (Fair Haven, MI).

The Titans (2-2) will now prepare for their bout against Utica Eisenhower (Shelby Township, MI). The Eagles enter the Macomb Area - Red bout with a 3-1 record. In their last bout, Utica Eisenhower lost by Romeo (Romeo, MI), 20-14, in a league bout.
