Kentucky High School Football - Estill County can't get by South Laurel
September 15, 2023: Irvine, KY 40336 South Laurel Cardinals (London, KY) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team nip the host Estill County Engineers (Irvine, KY), 22-16 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, South Laurel improves its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Pulaski County (Somerset, KY) to confront the Maroons in a 5A District 8 test on Friday, September 22. The Maroons come into the test with a record of 1-4. Pulaski County lost 31-21 in their recent non-league test against Woodford County (Versailles, KY)
With the loss, Estill County drops to 3-2 on the campaign. The Engineers travel to Lawrence County (Louisa, KY) to confront the Bulldogs in a 3A District 8 test on Friday, September 22. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 3-1. Lawrence County won 44-20 in their recent non-league test against Harlan County (Harlan, KY)
