In Friday's non-league match, the host Martin County football squad scored a good 38-16 victory over the Fairmont Golden Tornadoes.

In their next game, the clash with the Northside - Pinetown Panthers (Pinetown, NC) in a non-league match, on Thursday, September 21. Martin County will attempt to move on its 2-2 season record. The Panthers enter the match with a 2-2 record after their 13-0 non-league loss to Rosewood (Goldsboro, NC).

The Golden Tornadoes (1-5) will now prepare for their match against Midway (Dunn, NC). The Raiders enter the 2A Southeastern match with a 4-1 record. In their last match, Midway ran past Goldsboro (Goldsboro, NC), 47-0, in a non-league match.
