In Friday's league game, the Godwin Eagles (Richmond, VA) football team tipped the host Hanover Hawks (Mechanicsville, VA), by a final score of 24-21.

The Eagles (4-0) will now prepare for their game against Hermitage (Richmond, VA). The Panthers come into the Colonial game with a 2-1 record. In their last game, Hermitage got by Patrick Henry (Ashland, VA), 7-6, in a league game.

The Hawks now hold a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Atlee for a non-league game on Friday, September 22. Hanover will battle a Raiders team coming off a 49-24 non-league win over Spotsylvania (Spotsylvania, VA). The Raiders record now stands at 2-2.
