In Friday's league match, the host St. Francis Gladiators football squad scored a close 28-22 victory over the Grayling Vikings.

In their next game, the Gladiators clash with the Kingsley Stags (Kingsley, MI) in a Northern Michigan - Legends match, on Friday, September 22. St. Francis will attempt to move on its 2-2 season record. The Stags enter the match with a 3-1 record after their 64-13 non-league win over Boyne City (Boyne City, MI).
