September 15, 2023: Olive Hill, KY 41164 The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the West Carter Comets (Olive Hill, KY) and the visiting Powell County Pirates (Stanton, KY), observed West Carter's football squad defeat Powell County by a count of 50-20.
The Comets now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to East Carter for a 3A District 6 contest on Friday, September 22. West Carter will encounter a Raiders squad coming off a 46-36 non-league loss to Greenup County (Greenup, KY). The Raiders record now stands at 2-2.
