Missouri High School Softball - Lafayette bounces Chrisman
September 15, 2023: Independence, MO 64050 Lafayette Fighting Irish (St. Joseph, MO) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Chrisman Bears (Independence, MO), 12-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Fighting Irish now sport a 8-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Harrisonville for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 16. Lafayette will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 14-1 non-league loss to Blue Springs South (Blue Springs, MO). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-14.
With the loss, Chrisman falls to 4-14 on the campaign. The Bears host Republic (Republic, MO) to face the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 16. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 8-6. Republic lost 5-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Mid-Buchanan (Faucett, MO)
