The Hickory Hawks volleyball squad (Chesapeake, VA), was edged 3-2 in Monday's non-league battle with the host Kellam Knights (Virginia Beach, VA)

With the win, Kellam improves its record to 6-1 on the season. The Knights host Salem (Virginia Beach, VA) to encounter the Sundevils in a Beach challenge on Tuesday, September 16. The Sundevils enter the challenge with a record of 0-6. Salem lost 2-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Lakeland (Suffolk, VA)

Next, the Hawks meet the Ocean Lakes Dolphins (Virginia Beach, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 23. Hickory will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Dolphins go into the test with a 4-3 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Grassfield (Chesapeake, VA).
