Southern Valley/Alma (Oxford, NE) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Hershey Panthers (Hershey, NE), 16-8 in a league challenge.

The now own a 4-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Central City for a C District 7 challenge on Monday, September 20. Southern Valley/Alma will battle a Bison squad coming off a 13-5 non-league loss to Aurora (Aurora, NE). The Bison record now stands at 6-8.

With the loss, Hershey falls to 1-16 on the campaign. The Panthers host Holdrege (Holdrege, NE) to battle the Dusters in a B District 9 challenge on Monday, September 20. The Dusters enter the challenge with a record of 6-13. Holdrege lost 11-9 in their recent league challenge against Gothenburg (Gothenburg, NE)
