In Friday's non-league match, the host Hammond Central Wolves football squad scored a good 46-22 victory over the Pioneer Panthers.

In their next game, the Wolves clash with the East Chicago Central Cardinals (East Chicago, IN) in a Great Lakes match, on Friday, September 23. Hammond Central will attempt to move on its 4-1 season record. The Cardinals enter the match with a 1-4 record after their 48-8 non-league loss to Calumet New Tech (Gary, IN).
