September 16, 2023: Clayton, NY 13624 The Newfield Trojans football team (Newfield, NY), was beaten 44-14 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the host Thousand Islands Vikings (Clayton, NY)
The Vikings (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against South Lewis (Turin, NY). The Falcons come into the Section 3 8-Man - North/West (8 Man) challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, South Lewis was beaten by Bishop Grimes (East Syracuse, NY), 14-6, in a league challenge.
The Trojans now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Unatego for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 22. Newfield will meet a Spartans team coming off a 26-20 non-league win over Edison (Elmira Heights, NY). The Spartans record now stands at 1-1.
