In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Northwestern Huskies volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Central Christian Comets.

The Huskies (7-4) will now prepare for their battle against Waynedale (Apple Creek, OH). The Golden Bears come into the Wayne County battle with a 9-2 record. In their last battle, Waynedale achieved victory over Hillsdale (Jeromesville, OH), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Comets clash with the Lucas Cubs (Lucas, OH) in a Mid-Buckeye battle, on Tuesday, September 19. Central Christian will attempt to advance on its 1-10 season record. The Cubs come into the battle with a 3-9 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to St. Joseph Central Catholic (Fremont, OH).
