September 16, 2023: New Iberia, LA 70563 The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Highland Baptist Christian Bears (New Iberia, LA) and the visiting Episcopal Knights (Baton Rouge, LA), saw Highland Baptist Christian's volleyball squad nip Episcopal by a tally of 2-1.
With the win, Highland Baptist Christian upgrades its record to 5-5 on the year. The Bears travel to Westgate (New Iberia, LA) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 19. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 3-10. Westgate lost 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Hanson Memorial (Franklin, LA)
The Knights now own a 5-6 record. They play next when they travel to Riverside Academy for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 16. Episcopal will play a Rebels squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Covenant Christian Academy (Houma, LA). The Rebels record now stands at 3-7.
