In Saturday's non-league contest, the Galena Bears (Galena, MO) volleyball squad were winner over the host Jefferson Independent Day Cavaliers (Joplin, MO), by a margin of 2-0.

Next up, the Bears face the Verona Wildcats (Verona, MO) in a non-league contest, on Monday, September 18. Galena will attempt to better on its 18-0 season record. The Wildcats go into the contest with a 0-6 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Marionville (Marionville, MO).
