September 16, 2024: Adel, GA 31620 The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Wayne County Yellow Jackets (Jesup, GA) and the host Cook Hornets (Adel, GA), observed Wayne County's softball team get by Cook by a final score of 2-0.
The Yellow Jackets (15-5) will now prepare for their bout against Southeast Bulloch (Brooklet, GA). The Yellow Jackets go into the non-league bout with a 18-1 record. In their last bout, Southeast Bulloch tipped Liberty County (Hinesville, GA), 10-0, in a league bout.
In their next game, the Hornets battle the Crisp County Cougars (Cordele, GA) in a 2A Region 3 bout, on Tuesday, September 17. Cook will attempt to better on its 12-3 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 4-7 record after their 8-0 league loss to Pierce County (Blackshear, GA).
