Georgia High School Softball - Deerfield-Windsor topped by Miller County
September 16, 2024: Albany, GA 31707 Miller County Pirates (Colquitt, GA) backers left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Deerfield-Windsor Knights (Albany, GA), 9-1 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Miller County upgrades its record to 10-3 on the year. The Pirates travel to Seminole County (Donalsonville, GA) to play the Indians in a 1A D-II Region 1 game on Tuesday, September 17. The Indians enter the game with a record of 11-4.
The Knights now own a 2-8 record. They play next when they travel to Southland Academy for a non-league game on Tuesday, September 17. Deerfield-Windsor will play a Raiders squad coming off a 7-1 non-league win over Westwood (Camilla, GA). The Raiders record now stands at 9-4.
