September 16, 2025: Monticello, KY 42633 Wayne County Cardinals (Monticello, KY) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the visiting Rockcastle County Rockets (Mt. Vernon, KY), 2-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Wayne County improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Cardinals host Corbin (Corbin, KY) to meet the Redhounds in a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 18. The Redhounds come into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Corbin lost 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Boyle County (Danville, KY)
Next, the Rockets meet the Madison Southern Eagles (Berea, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 18. Rockcastle County will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record.
