Indiana High School Soccer - Columbus East nudges Franklin Community
September 16, 2025: Columbus, IN 47201 The Columbus East Olympians soccer squad scored 2 points and held the visiting Franklin Community Grizzly Cubs to 1 in the Olympians non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Olympians now hold a 6-4 record. They play next when they host Jennings County for a Hoosier Hills bout on Thursday, September 18. Columbus East will encounter a Panthers team coming off a 4-2 non-league win over Christian Academy (New Albany, IN). The Panthers record now stands at 4-6.
The Grizzly Cubs (3-8) will now prepare for their contest against Martinsville (Martinsville, IN). The Artesians enter the Mid-State contest with a 8-1 record. In their last contest, Martinsville was nipped by Bloomington North (Bloomington, IN), 2-1, in a non-league contest.
