The Northside Patriots (Columbus, GA) softball routed the host Troup County Tigers (LaGrange, GA), 7-2 in Tuesday's non-league outing.

The Patriots now sport a 16-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Harris County for a 4A Region 3 outing on Thursday, September 18. Northside will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over East Coweta (Sharpsburg, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 16-4.

The Tigers (4-14) will now prepare for their test against Upson-Lee (Thomaston, GA). The Knights go into the 3A Region 2 test with a 4-15 record. In their last test, Upson-Lee was routed by Mary Persons (Forsyth, GA), 17-1, in a league test.
