September 16, 2025: Lick Creek, KY 41540 Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the East Ridge Warriors (Lick Creek, KY) and the visiting Phelps Hornets (Phelps, KY), saw East Ridge's volleyball squad notch a victory over Phelps by a score of 3-1.
With the win, East Ridge improves its record to 3-8 on the season. The Warriors host Pikeville (Pikeville, KY) to meet the Panthers in a District 59 challenge on Thursday, September 18. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 10-4. Pikeville won 3-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Johnson Central (Paintsville, KY)
Next, the Hornets meet the Prestonsburg Blackcats (Prestonsburg, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 18. Phelps will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Blackcats enter the challenge with a 3-10 record after their 3-0 league win over Betsy Layne (Betsy Layne, KY).
