September 16, 2025: Itta Bena, MS 38941 Leflore County Tigers (Itta Bena, MS) followers left the game satisfied Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Simmons Blue Devils (Hollandale, MS), 3-1 in a league test.
With the win, Leflore County advances its record to 9-2 on the season. The Tigers travel to South Delta (Rolling Fork, MS) to face the Bulldogs in a Class 1A Region 6 test on Thursday, September 18. The Bulldogs go into the test with a record of 0-5. South Delta lost 3-0 in their recent league test against Riverside (Avon, MS)
The Blue Devils now have a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Riverside for a Class 1A Region 6 outing on Wednesday, September 17. Simmons will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-0 league win over South Delta (Rolling Fork, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-9.
