The El Modena Vanguards football squad scored 20 points and restricted the visiting Aliso Niguel Wolverines to 15 in the Vanguards non-league victory on Friday.

The Vanguards now possess a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Canyon for a non-league battle on Friday, September 24. El Modena will face a Comanches squad coming off a 54-49 non-league loss to Pacifica (Garden Grove, CA). The Comanches record now stands at 1-3.

Coming up next, the Wolverines face the Fountain Valley Barons (Fountain Valley, CA) in a non-league battle, on Friday, September 24. Aliso Niguel will attempt to advance on its 3-2 season record. The Barons enter the battle with a 1-3 record after their 40-17 non-league loss to Marina (Huntington Beach, CA).
