The Dripping Springs Tigers held off the host Canyon Cougars football team by a count of 48-45 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Dripping Springs upgrades its record to 4-0 on the season. The Tigers host McCollum (San Antonio, TX) to encounter the Cowboys in a 5A-1 Region III District 12 outing on Friday, September 24. The Cowboys go into the outing with a record of 2-2. McCollum lost 58-14 in their recent league outing against Johnson (Buda, TX)

With the loss, Canyon moves to 1-3 on the season. The Cougars travel to Seguin (Seguin, TX) to encounter the Matadors in a 5A-1 Region III District 12 outing on Friday, September 24.
