The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Chaparral Firebirds (Scottsdale, AZ) and the host Higley Knights (Gilbert, AZ), observed Chaparral's football squad bounce Higley by a count of 63-28.

The Firebirds now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they host Saguaro for a non-league contest on Friday, September 24. Chaparral will play a Sabercats squad coming off a 20-14 non-league win over American Leadership Academy (Queen Creek, AZ). The Sabercats record now stands at 2-0.

Coming up next, the Knights play the Boulder Creek Jaguars (Anthem, AZ) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 24. Higley will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Jaguars go into the contest with a 0-3 record after their 41-37 non-league loss to Millennium (Goodyear, AZ).
