California High School Volleyball - Saint Joseph tips Downey
September 17, 2022: Lakewood, CA 90713 The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Saint Joseph Jesters (Lakewood, CA) and the visiting Downey Vikings (Downey, CA), saw Saint Joseph's volleyball squad nip Downey by a tally of 2-1.
With the win, Saint Joseph upgrades its record to 2-0 on the year. The Jesters host Mary Star of the Sea (San Pedro, CA) to play the Stars in a bout on Tuesday, September 20. The Stars go into the bout with a record of 0-6.
The Vikings now own a 10-5 record. They play next when they travel to Gabrielino for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 17. Downey will play a Eagles squad coming off a 2-0 league win over South El Monte (South El Monte, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 9-5.
