North Carolina High School Volleyball - Southwestern Randolph over Butler
September 17, 2022: Matthews, NC 28105 The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC) and the host Butler Bulldogs (Matthews, NC), saw Southwestern Randolph's volleyball squad beat Butler by a tally of 3-0.
With the win, Southwestern Randolph upgrades its record to 14-1 on the year. The Cougars travel to Uwharrie Charter (Asheboro, NC) to play the Eagles in a Piedmont Athletic 1A/2A bout on Tuesday, September 20. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 8-2. Uwharrie Charter won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Wheatmore (Trinity, NC)
The Bulldogs now own a 9-6 record. They play next when they host Garinger for a Southwestern 4A bout on Tuesday, September 20. Butler will play a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over West Charlotte (Charlotte, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-7.
