Virginia High School Volleyball - Poquoson edged by Hickory
September 17, 2022: Chesapeake, VA 23322 The Hickory Hawks volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Poquoson Islanders to 1 in the Hawks non-league victory on Saturday.
The Hawks now have a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Grassfield for a Southeastern game on Tuesday, September 20. Hickory will meet a Grizzlies team coming off a 3-0 league win over Indian River (Chesapeake, VA). The Grizzlies record now stands at 1-0.
The Islanders (5-5) will now prepare for their game against Tabb (Yorktown, VA). The Tigers enter the Bay Rivers game with a 5-6 record. In their last game, Tabb held off Jamestown (Williamsburg, VA), 3-2, in a league game.
