The York Falcons held off the host Virginia Academy Patriots volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Falcons now have a 10-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lafayette for a Bay Rivers test on Monday, September 19. York will confront a Rams team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Smithfield (Smithfield, VA). The Rams record now stands at 1-6.

The Patriots (8-8) will now prepare for their test against Fredericksburg Christian (Fredericksburg, VA). The Eagles enter the non-league test with a 6-5 record. In their last test, Fredericksburg Christian held off Seton (Manassas, VA), 3-2, in a league test.
