The Cypress Bay Lightning volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Archbishop McCarthy Mavericks to 0 in the Lightning non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Lightning now have a 8-0 record. They play next when they travel to Western for a 7A District 15 outing on Thursday, September 19. Cypress Bay will play a Wildcats team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Cooper City (Cooper City, FL). The Wildcats record now stands at 12-1.
