September 17, 2024: Max Meadows, VA 24360 The Auburn Eagles (Riner, VA) volleyball knocked off the host Fort Chiswell Pioneers (Max Meadows, VA), 3-0 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Eagles now possess a 13-0 record. They play next when they host Grayson County for a Mountain Empire bout on Thursday, September 19. Auburn will clash with a Blue Devils team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Rural Retreat (Rural Retreat, VA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 7-2.
With the loss, Fort Chiswell drops to 4-6 on the campaign. The Pioneers host George Wythe (Wytheville, VA) to clash with the Maroons in a Mountain Empire bout on Thursday, September 19. The Maroons come into the bout with a record of 4-7. George Wythe won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA)
