Georgia High School Softball - Heard County drops to Central
September 17, 2025: Franklin, GA 30217 Central Lions (Carrollton, GA) supporters left the game thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad topple the host Heard County Braves (Franklin, GA), 10-2 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Central improves its record to 13-5 on the year. The Lions host Jonesboro (Jonesboro, GA) to face the Cardinals in a 4A Region 3 game on Thursday, September 18. The Cardinals enter the game with a record of 7-7. Jonesboro won 18-10 in their recent non-league game against KIPP Atlanta Collegiate (Atlanta, GA)
In their next game, the Braves battle the Model Blue Devils (Rome, GA) in a 1A D-I Region 6 match, on Thursday, September 18. Heard County will attempt to better on its 8-6 season record. The Blue Devils enter the game with a 11-1 record after their 8-0 league loss to Bremen (Bremen, GA).
