In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Nemaha Central Thunder volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Northeast Kansas Saints HomeSchool Saints.

The Thunder (14-3) will now prepare for their battle against Ottawa (Ottawa, KS). The Cyclones come into the non-league battle with a 2-6 record. In their last battle, Ottawa was edged by Shawnee Heights (Tecumseh, KS), 2-1, in a non-league battle.
