Georgia High School Softball - Toombs County bounces Screven County
September 18, 2023: Sylvania, GA 30467 The Toombs County Bulldogs routed the host Screven County Gamecocks softball squad by a final score of 10-4 in Monday's non-league battle.
The Bulldogs (9-5) will now prepare for their battle against Brantley County (Nahunta, GA). The Herons go into the 2A Region 3 battle with a 5-8 record. In their last battle, Brantley County held off Tattnall County (Reidsville, GA), 8-3, in a league battle.
The Gamecocks now possess a 7-8 record. They play next when they travel to Metter for a 1A D-I Region 3 battle on Wednesday, September 20. Screven County will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 5-4 league loss to Bryan County (Pembroke, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 6-6.
