With the triumph, Metter improves its record to 11-4 on the year. The Tigers travel to McIntosh County Academy (Darien, GA) to face the Buccaneers in a 1A D-II Region 3 contest on Thursday, September 19. The Buccaneers enter the contest with a record of 4-13. McIntosh County Academy lost 23-15 in their recent non-league contest against Bradwell Institute (Hinesville, GA)
The Bulldogs now hold a 13-4 record. They play next when they host Hawkinsville for a 1A D-II Region 4 contest on Tuesday, September 24. Wheeler County will face a Red Devils squad coming off a 4-3 league win over Telfair County (McRae, GA). The Red Devils record now stands at 11-7.
