California High School Football - Carson can't hold off North

The North Saxons held off the host Carson Colts football squad by a count of 42-35 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Saxons now hold a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Santa Monica for a Pioneer test on Friday, October 3. North will meet a Vikings squad coming off a 35-14 non-league win over Gardena (Gardena, CA). The Vikings record now stands at 3-2.

The Colts (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy (Downey, CA). The Warriors go into the non-league challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy nipped Newbury Park (Newbury Park, CA), 46-41, in a non-league challenge.
