Maryland High School Football - Wootton can't hold off Whitman
September 18, 2025: Bethesda, MD 20817 Whitman Vikings (Bethesda, MD) boosters were content Thursday as they observed their football squad nudge the visiting Wootton Patriots (Rockville, MD), 14-7 in a non-league match.
The Vikings (2-1) will now prepare for their match against Churchill (Potomac, MD). The Bulldogs come into the non-league match with a 3-0 record. In their last match, Churchill tipped Walter Johnson (Bethesda, MD), 28-6, in a league match.
Coming up next, the Patriots meet the Walter Johnson Wildcats (Bethesda, MD) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 26. Wootton will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Wildcats come into the test with a 1-2 record after their 28-6 league loss to Churchill (Potomac, MD).
