September 18, 2025: Boone, NC 28607 The Watauga Pioneers football team scored 56 points and held the visiting Erwin Warriors to 7 in the Pioneers non-league victory on Thursday.
The Pioneers now sport a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they host Asheville for a non-league outing on Thursday, September 25. Watauga will clash with a Cougars squad coming off a 45-0 non-league loss to Crest (Shelby, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 1-2.
With the defeat, Erwin drops to 0-5 on the campaign. The Warriors host A.C. Reynolds (Asheville, NC) to clash with the Rockets in a non-league outing on Thursday, October 2. The Rockets come into the outing with a record of 3-1. A.C. Reynolds won 42-0 in their recent non-league game against Freedom (Morganton, NC)
