September 18, 2025: Somerville, MA 02143 Medford Mustangs (Medford, MA) fans were in high spirits Thursday as they observed their soccer squad nudge the host Somerville Highlanders (Somerville, MA), 2-1 in a non-league bout.
The Mustangs now possess a 3-2 record. They play next when they travel to North Andover for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 20. Medford will play a Scarlet Knights squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Chelmsford (North Chelmsford, MA). The Scarlet Knights record now stands at 1-1.
With the loss, Somerville moves to 3-2 on the year. The Highlanders host Melrose (Melrose, MA) to play the Red Raiders in a non-league bout on Monday, September 22. The Red Raiders go into the bout with a record of 3-4. Melrose won 5-0 in their recent non-league bout against Wilmington (Wilmington, MA)
