Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Cornerstone Charter Cardinals (Greensboro, NC) and the visiting Bishop McGuinness Villains (Kernersville, NC), observed Cornerstone Charter's volleyball team hold off Bishop McGuinness by a count of 2-1.

The Cardinals (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against River Mill (Graham, NC). The Jaguars go into the non-league battle with a 5-4 record. In their last battle, River Mill tipped Central Carolina Academy (Sanford, NC), 2-1, in a non-league battle.
