St. Cecilia Bluehawks (Hastings, NE) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Polk County Slammers (Stromsburg, NE), 13-0 in a non-league match.

The Bluehawks (14-4) will now prepare for their match against Fillmore Central (Geneva, NE). The Panthers come into the non-league match with a 3-15 record. In their last match, Fillmore Central was routed by Central City (Central City, NE), 15-4, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Slammers play the Fillmore Central Panthers (Geneva, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 18. Polk County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-13 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 3-15 record after their 15-4 non-league loss to Central City (Central City, NE).
