September 18, 2025: Mayodan, NC 27027 The McMichael Phoenix volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Bartlett Yancey Buccaneers to 0 in the Phoenix league triumph on Thursday.
The Phoenix now possess a 11-7 record. They play next when they travel to Walkertown for a Mid-State 3A/4A/5A outing on Tuesday, September 23. McMichael will play a Wolfpack team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Rockingham County (Wentworth, NC). The Wolfpack record now stands at 11-4.
With the loss, Bartlett Yancey drops to 8-2 on the campaign. The Buccaneers host Southeast Alamance (Haw River, NC) to play the Stallions in a non-league outing on Monday, September 22. The Stallions come into the outing with a record of 8-5. Southeast Alamance won 3-1 in their recent league outing against Southern Alamance (Graham, NC)
