In Thursday's league match, the DeLand-Weldon Eagles (DeLand, IL) volleyball team held off the host Judah Christian Tribe (Champaign, IL), by a margin of 2-1.

The Eagles now possess a 7-10 record. They play next when they host Urbana University for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 20. DeLand-Weldon will clash with a Illineks team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Hoopeston (Hoopeston, IL). The Illineks record now stands at 0-17.
