September 18, 2025: Newport News, VA 23608 In Thursday's league challenge, the host Woodside Wolverines volleyball team scored a 3-1 victory over the Phoebus Phantoms.
With the win, Woodside improves its record to 6-1 on the season. The Wolverines travel to Heritage (Newport News, VA) to face the Hurricanes in a Peninsula test on Tuesday, September 23. The Hurricanes go into the test with a record of 2-7. Heritage won 3-2 in their recent league test against Hampton (Hampton, VA)
The Phantoms now own a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Menchville for a Peninsula test on Tuesday, September 23. Phoebus will face a Monarchs squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Bethel (Hampton, VA). The Monarchs record now stands at 7-3.
