September 19, 2022: Damascus, VA 24236 J.I. Burton Black Raiders (Norton, VA) supporters left the game in high spirits Monday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the host Holston Cavaliers (Damascus, VA), 2-1 in a non-league match.
Next up, the Black Raiders clash with the Eastside Spartans (Coeburn, VA) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, September 20. J.I. Burton will attempt to advance on its 1-0 season record. The Spartans come into the match with a 2-1 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Twin Springs (Nickelsville, VA).
With the loss, Holston drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Chilhowie (Chilhowie, VA) to clash with the Warriors in a non-league match on Tuesday, September 20. The Warriors enter the game with a record of 0-1. Chilhowie lost 2-0 in their recent non-league game against Honaker (Honaker, VA)
