Elkin Buckin' Elks (Elkin, NC) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host North Davidson Black Knights (Lexington, NC), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Buckin' Elks face the Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC) in a Northwest 1A challenge, on Wednesday, September 21. Elkin will attempt to better on its 6-4 season record. The Rams enter the challenge with a 7-2 record after their 4-1 league loss to Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC).

The Black Knights now have a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they host Randleman for a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 22. North Davidson will face a Tigers team coming off a 3-1 league win over Uwharrie Charter (Asheboro, NC). The Tigers record now stands at 3-5.
