In Monday's league battle, the host Mercer County Golden Eagles volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes.

The Golden Eagles (10-7) will now prepare for their battle against Annawan (Annawan, IL). The Braves come into the Lincoln Trail battle with a 17-1 record. In their last battle, Annawan achieved victory over Knoxville (Knoxville, IL), 2-0, in a league battle.
