September 19, 2022: Braidwood, IL 60408 The Seneca Fighting Irish held off the host Reed-Custer Comets volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Monday's non-league test.
The Fighting Irish now have a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lowpoint-Washburn for a Tri-County test on Thursday, September 22. Seneca will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Galva (Galva, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-14.
The Comets (6-9) will now prepare for their test against Coal City (Coal City, IL). The Coalers enter the Illinois Central Eight test with a 11-5 record. In their last test, Coal City held off Herscher (Herscher, IL), 2-0, in a league test.
