September 19, 2023: Montebello, CA 90640 The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the San Gabriel Matadors (San Gabriel, CA) and the host Montebello Oilers (Montebello, CA), saw San Gabriel's volleyball squad beat Montebello by a tally of 3-0.
With the win, San Gabriel upgrades its record to 10-8 on the year. The Matadors travel to Alhambra (Alhambra, CA) to confront the Moors in a Almont test on Thursday, September 21. The Moors enter the test with a record of 1-8. Alhambra lost 3-0 in their recent league test against Bell Gardens (Bell Gardens, CA)
The Oilers (3-9) will now prepare for their test against Schurr (Montebello, CA). The Spartans enter the Almont test with a 14-6 record. In their last test, Schurr gained a win over Mark Keppel (Alhambra, CA), 3-1, in a league test.
