Mineral County Serpents (Hawthorne, NV) followers went home pleased Thursday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host Wells Leopards (Wells, NV), 52-24 in a league battle.

With the win, Mineral County advances its record to 4-0 on the season. The Serpents host Owyhee (Owyhee, NV) to play the Braves in a 1A West (8 Man) battle on Thursday, September 26. The Braves go into the battle with a record of 0-3. Owyhee lost 50-8 in their recent league battle against Virginia City (Virginia City, NV)

The Leopards now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Carlin for a 1A West (8 Man) battle on Thursday, September 26. Wells will play a Railroaders team coming off a 54-30 league win over Pyramid Lake (Nixon, NV). The Railroaders record now stands at 3-1.
